DayZ Map User Guide
Use the interactive maps to save locations, plan routes and exchange marker data. Markers are stored locally in the browser profile selected on the map.
Open the Chernarus mapMap controls and coordinates
Enter X and Y coordinates in the header to centre the map. Use Place marker to add a marker at the entered location. Zoom controls and the map selector are available at the top of the page.
Markers and profiles
Select the add-marker button, then click the map. Give the marker a name, type and colour. Use profiles to keep separate marker collections; create, rename, select or delete profiles from the header. Deleting a marker or a profile cannot be undone.
Search
Search marker names or types. Separate words with spaces to require all words, use | for alternatives, quotes for an exact phrase, @type for a type search and @@type for an exact type match.
Routes, drawing and measurements
Add route criteria and choose whether to use roads where available. Drawing tools create circles, rectangles, lines and polygons. The measurement tool shows segment and total distance; press Enter to finish and Escape to cancel an active operation.
Import, export and DayZ Companion
Use the Tools menu to import or export markers and shapes. Export before moving to another domain: browser storage is separate for each domain. DayZ Companion transfers selected markers to supported DayZ server blocks; close the game or use the character-selection screen before transferring data.
Other tools
The Tools menu also contains the JSON splitter/merger, race timers and the YourWorld currency converter. These open in a separate tab and preserve their own local data.
